On Aug. 8, 2007, Dr. Ryan S. Olson and Michael D. LaFaive were guests on WAAM's "Lucy Ann Lance Show" discussing their book "A School Money Primer for Policymakers, School Officials, Media and Residents." Olson is director of education policy and LaFaive is director of fiscal policy for the Mackinac Center. The book details how all $19 billion in local, state and federal tax dollars are raised and spent on K-12 public education in Michigan. The book is part of the Center’s School Management Series, which also includes "A Collective Bargaining Primer for Michigan School Board Members," and "A School Privatization Primer for Michigan School Officials, Media and Residents." The interview is 26 minutes and 49 seconds.
