Alexander C. Cartwright is a principal at HotelShift. He was formerly chair of of the Management Department and associate professor of economics in the College of Business at Ferris State University. Cartwright's research interests include public choice, constitutional economics, Austrian economics and behavioral law & economics. He is particularly interested in the political implications of behavioral economics, the relationship between regulation and black markets, and police behavior. His research has appeared in the Chronicle of Higher Education, Public Choice, Advances in Austrian Economics, The Journal of Libertarian Studies, The Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics, The New York University Journal of Law and Liberty, Public Finance and Administration and The Cambridge Journal of Economics.
