A third-generation family member, Warren Rose is the current CEO of the Edward Rose Building Enterprise. Originally founded in 1921 in Detroit, the company has been continuously involved in construction and property management. The primary focus of the company had been the development of subdivisions and single-family homes, but took a new track in the early 1960's into the construction and management of apartment communities.
The company has been responsible for the construction of over 100,000 dwellings with more than 70,000 being apartment units. The company now owns and manages over 70,000 units in 18 states and is currently active in construction of new communities. They are involved with all phases of development, construction and management of its multi-family communities. The company is privately owned by the Rose family. The company is presently involved in the development and management of senior living communities; now with 7 communities and over 1,200 units in 4 states.
Mr. Rose is a graduate of Albion College with a BA in Physics. He also received a master's degree from the University of Michigan School of Civil Engineering. Mr. Rose began his career with the company in 1985. After taking on various assignments in the construction and corporate management areas, Mr. Rose succeeded his father, Sheldon Rose, as CEO in 2005. His exposure to the family business began at a very young age, traveling with his father to construction sites around the Midwest. Mr. Rose also holds a Real Estate Associate Broker's License and Residential Builder's License.
Mr. Rose also holds board positions in local charitable organizations. He has been active as a member of the Board of Directors of Corewell Health East, Corewell Health Foundation Southeast Michigan and the Cranbrook Educational Community, located in Oakland County, Michigan. Mr. Rose has also been active in numerous civic and religious organizations in his community, including Temple Beth El and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Multi Housing Council and Apartment Association of Michigan. He is also a Board Member at Mi Bank.
