Born and raised in Howell, MI, Matt grew up gaining appreciation of the value of servant leadership and a strong commitment to integrity. He attended Liberty University for his undergraduate degree in accounting and then furthered his studies at Davenport University online for his graduate degree in accounting to complete educational requirements after passing the CPA exam.

In his free time, Matt can be found serving at his local church in various capacities, spending time with family, training for running different races in Michigan, planning future travels to any National Park in the U.S., or watching the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Lions, or U-M football.
