Joseph Rupert is currently the advancement manager at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Starting as an advancement intern, he was hired full-time in December of 2022.
Before joining the Mackinac Center’s advancement team, Rupert worked in the agricultural industry in his hometown of Montague, Michigan. He worked alongside his grandfather, and other entrepreneurs, farming corn, wheat, soybeans, asparagus, and cherries.
At Northwood University, where Rupert studied entrepreneurship and accounting, he learned the importance of defending liberty and private property. Rupert competed in business pitch competitions and was president of both the NU Ultimate Frisbee Club and the NU Standing in the Gap christian ministry.
In his free time, Rupert can be found on the ultimate frisbee field, playing musical instruments, or using his Milwaukee® power tools. He also enjoys being with friends and going on the occasional fishing trip.
