Kara Malkowski is the current assistant to the president at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. She joined the Mackinac Center team in 1999 and has served in a variety of roles in both advancement and operations, including operations office assistant, database manager and member services assistant.
Prior to joining the Center, Malkowski worked for Marquette University’s advancement department. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in English. Malkowski resides in Midland with her husband and four daughters, and can be found in the forest and on the water when not fighting for freedom beside her colleagues at the Mackinac Center.
