“No amount of money can replace our homes. This is where we chose to settle and this is where we want to stay.”
Join the Mackinac Center for a private screening of the compelling film about small town heroes who challenged one of the nation’s largest pharmaceutical corporations and an overreaching government all the way to the Supreme Court.
Based on real events, Little Pink House tells the incredible story of Susette Kelo. After refurbishing a cottage and painting it pink, she brimmed with hope in the new life she was building. Then, Susette discovered that powerful politicians were bent on taking it all away. How? By abusing a power called “eminent domain”.
With their courage, these individuals inspired a nation and became faces of freedom, embodying the spirit of the Mackinac Center’s mission to improve the quality of life for all people.
