Janet Neilson was a health communications associate with the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Janet worked to educate the public about patient-centered, free-market solutions to America's health care challenges, and she managed the Center's health care blog, MI Health Facts.

Neilson is a founding director of the Institute for Liberal Studies, an educational nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting discussions of economics, philosophy, history and public policy in Canada.

Neilson holds a Bachelor of Commerce in business administration and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Windsor. She lives in Windsor, Ontario.
