Bridge Magazine, part of a group called The Center for Michigan, has released a ranking system for Michigan schools that takes into account the socio-economic backgrounds of students that is “similar” to one introduced by Mackinac Center analysts six months ago, according to MLive.

The Center’s “Michigan Public High School Context and Performance Report Card,” which includes a searchable database, was widely covered last July by media statewide, receiving mentions in several MLive newspapers.

An earlier version of the Center’s database, released in June 2011, also received statewide media attention, and was noted by administrators and parents as a “valuable tool.”
