MEA Document Provides Interesting Details

Download audio    Dr. Ryan S. Olson discusses the MEA

About this audio file: On Jan. 17, 2008, Dr. Ryan S. Olson, director of education policy for the Mackinac Center, was a guest on "The Greg Marshall Show" on WMKT in Traverse City. Olson discussed the 2006 Michigan Education Association’s LM-2, which the school employees union is required to file with the federal Department of Labor. Olson’s investigation of the document found that while the number of MEA members in Michigan is going down, the union is collecting more revenues but spending less time representing its members compared to 2005. The interview is 13 minutes and 41 seconds.
