This section will discuss state taxes and other state revenues spent on primary and secondary education. In fiscal 2006, the revenues for the school aid fund, which is where the state government deposits tax revenues for education, were approximately $12,590,363,297.[81] The graph below provides a quick overview of the various state revenue sources for the school aid fund. The discussion that follows categorizes the revenues by their source.
