Patrick L. Anderson received his education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Public Policy. His professional experience in economics includes work for the University of Michigan Economics Department, the Central Intelligence Agency, and Manufacturers National Bank of Detroit; and as a consultant to private industry, public officials and political candidates. He recently joined Alexander Hamilton Life Insurance Company, where he serves as Director of Economics.
In addition, Mr. Anderson has written extensively on topics of economic policy, with his articles appearing in the The Detroit News, The Wall Street Journal, and Crain's Detroit Business. His study Michigan in the Current Recovery: A Historical Perspective,published by the Heartland Institute in December 1986, analyzed many aspects of the State's business climate. He has been Vice-Chairman of the Michigan Consumers Council since 1985.
