Maps and Directions to the Mackinac Center

Below are directions to the Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Midland, MI. To simplify finding the location, three maps are provided in two formats.

From the North:

Take US 10 East to Eastman Avenue exit. Turn right, (South) on Eastman Road. Continue on past Saginaw Road and Sugnet Road (approx. 2 miles). Take the curve on Eastman to the left, staying in the right lane. At the second street, Ashman Street (one way) turn right. Continue to the intersection of Ashman Street and West Main Street (3 blocks). Turn right at West Main Street. The Mackinac Center is located one block down on the right, on the corner of Gordon Street.


From the East:

Take US 10 West to Business 10 (a left exit off US 10). Continue on Business 10 as it curves to the right. Follow through to Ashman Street (which is a one way left). Turn left and continue 3 blocks to the intersection of Ashman and West Main Street. Turn right at West Main Street. The Mackinac Center is located one block down on the right, on the corner of Gordon Street.


From the South:

Take I-75 to US 10 West to Business 10 (a left exit off US 10). Continue on Business 10 as it curves to the right. Follow through to Ashman Street (which is a one way left). Turn left and continue 3 blocks to the intersection of Ashman and West Main Street. Turn right at West Main Street. The Mackinac Center is located one block down on the right, on the corner of Gordon Street.


From the West/Southwest:

Follow US 131/M 46 North to M 46 East. Then take US 27 North (at St. Louis/Alma) to Mt. Pleasant. Take M 20 East into Midland. After crossing the bridge into downtown, turn right at the light, onto West Main Street. The Mackinac Center will be 2 blocks down on the left, on the corner of Gordon and West Main.


Parking:

There is plenty of 2 hour parking all around the block. On weekends, there is no time limit. If you are going to be staying for a longer period of time on a weekday, the best parking can be found at the Farmer's Market at the bottom of the hill on Ashman Street.

From the North, East or South:
Continue on Ashman Street, driving through West Main Street. Parking will be to the left at the bottom of the hill.

From the West/Southwest:
Continue on West Main Street past the Mackinac Center and turn right onto Ashman Street. Parking will be to the left at the bottom of the hill.
