In the autumn of 2008, Mackinac Center President Emeritus Lawrence W. Reed addressed a group of University of Michigan students at an event hosted by Students for a Free Economy. Reed was asked to speak about his favorite president, and he chose Grover Cleveland, about whom he had written before.
