The graphic design intern will work on a variety of graphic design projects supporting the Mackinac Center communications department. He or she will work directly with graphic designers as well as the rest of the communications team. Graphic design work may include publication layout, working with HTML and maintaining the visual brand. This position will involve coordination with all Mackinac Center departments and policy areas.
Ideal candidates will possess a background in graphic design. Excellent organizational and written and oral communications skills are required, as is ethical and professional conduct.
This internship provides an opportunity to work at the nation’s premiere state-based free-market public policy research and educational organization. As such, candidates should share a similar political alignment and be proponents of free markets and limited government.

The employment term is 3 days a week (24 hours). Interns are compensated at the rate of $15.50 per hour, and are employed on an at-will basis.
