Michigan Business Tax Discourages Economic Growth

A Michigan businessman shares the story of how the state's business tax and related surcharge have hampered efforts by his company to grow and do business in Michigan, as compared to Indiana, where his company also has operations. A key lawmaker and the Mackinac Center's fiscal policy director agree, and both believe eliminating the MBT and surcharge would help the state prosper.
