It's like finding a needle in a haystack
Michigan legislators vote on hundreds of bills every year. Spotting the most important votes could feel like a full-time job.
That's where VoteSpotter comes in
It's an unbelievably simple iPhone app that only alerts you about select votes of importance — and it's incredibly easy to give your legislator feedback on his or her vote.
Sign-up to be the first to know when the Android version is available. Install the iPhone version now.
How it works so well
When you download the app, you'll be prompted to activate it by registering with your home address. The app finds your local legislators and conveniently begins loading a few of his or her recent votes. Within seconds you'll be able to read plain-English brief descriptions of the bills. And within a few more seconds you'll be able to send an email to your legislator based on whether you agree or disagree with a particular vote.
Don't keep it inside
The app makes it easy to share your view with your friends! If you have Facebook or Twitter installed on your smartphone, you'll be able to quickly share with your social network and have enough time to get back to what you were doing.
Simple and powerful
The Mackinac Center for 25 years has been making the case for limited government that invests its time and energy only in "things that matter." But, alas, until the Legislature limits itself from deliberating on everything under the sun (e.g. the official state tartan, hair salon licensing, unflavored rice or soy milk, etc.), VoteSpotter is here to sort out the wheat from the chaff and helps you find the really important needles in the haystack of public policy. That's pretty powerful.
What will you spot?
Where will you spot it?
Your lunchtime to-do list might never look the same.
And, your legislator’s lunchtime may never look the same again.
