Students for a Free Economy, a project of the Mackinac Center, wishes everyone a happy St. Patrick's Day. As an outreach to college students, SFE designs and prints liberty-minded paraphernalia for students who are interested in learning more about the program and about freedom in general.
One shirt printed for the 2008-2009 school year highlights the gains Ireland has made in the European economy. The text is printed below.
KISS ME, I'M IRISH.
And by Irish I mean the “Celtic Tiger.” Ireland has economically outperformed most European Union countries because of its low corporate taxation (see left sleeve, Figure A), its restraints on government spending and the population’s embrace of entrepreneurship. A snapshot from 2003 to 2007 shows a 3.4 percent increase in Ireland’s GDP. Cheers to that.
You can order your own t-shirt, and show your support for liberty and Students for a Free Economy, at MichiganSFE.org.
Cheers!
