Resolved: That the United States federal government should establish a foreign policy substantially increasing its support of United Nations peacekeeping operations.

Doug Bandow is senior fellow at the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C. He is widely regarded as one of America's most incisive observers of current events. His weekly column is published by major newspapers across the country, and he writes regularly for leading publications, such as Fortune magazine. In addition to being a prolific author, Bandow speaks on such diverse topics as foreign policy, religion, environmental protection and education. Bandow, who holds a B.S. in economics from Florida State University and a J.D. from Stanford, worked in the Reagan administration as special assistant to the president. He is a past Mackinac Center for Public Policy Debate Workshop speaker.
