A group of Native American farmers and ranchers accused agriculture officials of discriminating against them by denying or delaying farm loans and emergency assistance, forcing many into foreclosure proceedings. The group is seeking class action status for its lawsuit which is similar to one filed by black farmers in which the U.S. government agreed to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in damages, reports The Washington Post.
