On Sept. 18, 2007, Michael D. LaFaive, director of the Morey Fiscal Policy Initiative at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, was a guest on “The Greg Marshall Show” on WMKT in Traverse City. LaFaive discussed the on-going budget negotiations in the state Legislature and the various ideas politicians have presented in order to solve their overspending crisis as a new fiscal year looms Oct. 1.
