Olson, director of education policy at the Mackinac Center, and Angus McBeath, former superintendent of the Edmonton public schools, were guests on “The Frank Beckmann Show” on WJR 760 AM in Detroit. During the interview, McBeath discussed how the Edmonton public schools improved education and became more efficient by offering genuine school choice to parents of schoolchildren. Olson outlined how Michigan parents, students and schools would benefit if districts implemented the school-choice reforms modeled in Edmonton.
