About this audio file: On Sept. 14, 2006, Ryan S. Olson, director of education policy at the Mackinac Center, and Angus McBeath, former superintendent of the Edmonton public schools, were guests on “The Frank Beckmann Show” on WJR 760 AM in Detroit. Olson outlined how Michigan parents, students and schools would benefit if districts implemented the school-choice reforms modeled in Edmonton. McBeath is a senior fellow in public education reform at the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies and superintendent emeritus at Focus on Results. The clip is 8 minutes, 43 seconds long.
