This weekend, be sure to watch the latest installment of C-SPAN's "American Writers" series, focusing on the life and achievements of the late Russell Kirk, longtime Michigan resident and former Mackinac Center Board of Scholars member.
The program airs Sunday, June 30, at 3pm EDT on C-SPAN and will be broadcast live from Piety Hill in Mecosta, Mich. Piety Hill is Kirk's ancestral home and serves now as the locus of The Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal, an organization headed up by Kirk's widow Annette, who is a current member of the Center's Board of Scholars.
More information on Kirk and the program is available on C-SPAN's web site at http://www.americanwriters.org/writers/kirk_buckley.asp.
