University of Michigan officials say they handle about 400 Freedom of Information Act requests a year on average. It took the university 106 days to respond to one recent FOIA request and release four emails written by its president. The Mackinac Center received the emails it requested the same day it filed a lawsuit over the delay.

Here are the names and 2015-16 salaries of the top U-M executives involved in processing FOIA requests.
