Sponsored by the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University, John Templeton Foundation and Northwood University’s Forum for Citizenship and Enterprise.

Please join us as we welcome Mark R. Weber, co-producer of "Poverty, Inc." and founding team member of PovertyCure, as he introduces the film and fields audience Q&A.

The West has positioned itself as the protagonist of development, giving rise to a vast multibillion dollar poverty industry. Yet leaders in the developing world are growing increasingly vocal in calling for change. From TOMs Shoes to international adoptions, from solar panels to U.S. agricultural subsidies, "Poverty, Inc." unearths an uncomfortable side of doing good that will leave you wondering, Could I be part of the problem?
