SEIU Fined for Campaign Finance Violations
Union dues skim took $34 million from Medicaid
Michigan Capitol Confidential reports that the Service Employees International Union, which took $34 million in forced dues from home-based caregivers as part of its dues skim, has received the second biggest campaign finance violation fine in state history.
The $199,000 penalty stems from the union’s involvement in the failed Proposal 4 on the November 2012 ballot, which would have enshrined its stealth unionization scheme in the state constitution.
