Michigan Capitol Confidential today is reporting that a major teachers union in Michigan claimed an online charter public school operator made $522 million in profits in 2011, but the company actually had revenues of that much. The state chapter of the American Federation of Teachers made the claim in a legislative update opposing Senate Bill 619.
