Maybe this next item tells us that we have little to fear from more government in health care, since we’re already being watched. Or maybe it tells us something else. The Los Angeles Times says that California has updated a new database meant as a tool against drug abuse.

Thanks to the upgrades, law enforcement officials will now be able to know, in real time, which controlled substances you’re taking. Down to the pill, I suspect. Blame celebrity deaths.

By the way, the database goes by the name CURES.

Cute, in an Orwellian way.

Just think of what will be possible once government subsidizes (and controls) health care for even more people than it does now.
