Program Description:
This appropriation funds the Conveyor Contract program. This program supports transportation costs for families served through the Children’s Special Health-Care Services Program (CSHCS). The program is means-tested.
Recommended Action:
This program could be eliminated. Currently, families with a household income of up to 250 percent of the poverty level are eligible.[59] This means that a family of four with income up to $45,250 could benefit from these funds. Families, neighbors, friends, employers, religious groups, civic groups and businesses are capable of helping needy people with transportation. Savings: $559,100.
