Paul Kersey, director of labor policy, was cited in the Detroit Free Press regarding a push in Oakland County to pass a prevailing wage ordinance. Kersey's 2007 study on the issue showed that Michigan's prevailing wage law increased costs needlessly, especially for public schools.

An editorial in the Holland Sentinel praised the Center's efforts to increase transparency among public schools and other government entities.

Columnist Tom Watkins in The Detroit News cited the Center as one of several groups advocating for Michigan to make solid structural reforms, rather than the governor and Legislature continually struggling to plug budget gaps caused by their overspending.
